My New York Fashion Week Experience

Walking the runway at New York Fashion Week was a dream come true — not just for me, but for every fashion design student. As a second-year student at NIFD Global Surat, I was incredibly lucky to be given the opportunity to participate and showcase a garment on one of the most prestigious global platforms.
Throughout this journey, I learned so much — from garment development to understanding global fashion trends and color palettes. Our international mentors, along with my institute’s faculty, guided me every step of the way. Their support and encouragement gave me the confidence to perform and grow.
The experience of working with a group was enriching. We collaborated, shared ideas, and together created something beautiful. I truly enjoyed every moment — from the backstage hustle to the final runway walk.
This experience has opened doors for me to explore fashion at an international level, and I’m deeply grateful to NIFD Global for making it possible.
